Intensive study of 70% of the Bible in 34 weeks. Nightly homework with weekly discussion. Sign up as required.

Volunteers

Ushers:
Ushers assist in seating the congregation, collecting the offering, and directing the congregation during communion services.

Guest Information Table:
Provides visitors information in regards to church worship, church functions, and locations of Sunday morning activities.

Coffee Fellowship:
Assist with refreshments between worship hours on Sunday mornings.

Greeters:
Two individuals at each service are needed to welcome both members and visitors to Sunday worship

Fellowship

Turning Good Times Into Funds (TGIF):
Church fundraisers that vary from restaurants donating a portion of their receipts to special church activities, like golf tournaments, etc.

Senior Ministry
This group is for mature adults who are interested in Christian fellowship activities.

Women

Mom2Mom (formerly MOPS)
Mom2Mom is a ministry of VUMC providing Christian-based support and encouragement to women in the challenging season of life called motherhood. Whether you feel the need for direction, refueling, or some friends to join you on the ride, we invite you to navigate this journey with us.

The program has expanded to mothers of newborns through sixth grade.

We meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month starting September 13 through May, 9-11:15 a.m. In addition to a hot breakfast, our morning includes encouraging speakers, a strong mentor mom program, small group discussion and time to connect with other mothers. Our kids' program for newborns through kindergarten meets simultaneously to provide a nurturing and fun place for your child to grow.

Meets every other Wednesday morning for exercise and Bible/book study.

Women's Retreat: 

This year in January at the Santa Barbara Mission. 

Women's Prayer and Share:
Women's group that meets every Thursday morning at 9:30.

Men

Men's Thursday Morning
Bible Study:
Men's discussion, support group meets Thursdays, 6:30 a.m.

Men’s Breakfast:
Meets on occasional Saturday morning.  Breakfast fellowship featuring interesting guest speakers. Promotes Christian fellowship and provides the opportunity for UMM to sponsor church service projects.
