Welcome! My name is Michelle Andrews and I am the Director of Christian Education at Valencia United Methodist Church. I am glad that you have taken the time to explore what we offer as we are in ministry with kids and families. Sunday morning:
Sunday School at 9:00 offers classes for kids between the ages of 2 years and 6th grade. Each class uses curriculum that is age-appropriate, and lessons are taught with all types of learners in mind. Kids hear and see the main point each week, and then learn how to live out their belief in God through creative and imaginative ways.

During the 10:30 Worship hour, kids through 4th grade are invited to attend Kids’ Worship. This time includes a story and lesson as well as a variety of activities.

Wednesday evening:
Pioneer Clubs is a mid-week faith and fellowship opportunity for kids between the ages of 4 years and 6th grade. Through a variety of activities, kids learn how to make Jesus a part of everything they do.  (September-May)

Friday evening:

Christ-Centered Kids (CCK)

At VUMC, we have a fantastic youth group for our 5th and 6th graders.  At this stage of your child's life, kids can often feel they don't fit in anywhere. They feel too big to be with the little kids and too young hang out with teenagers. This is why we created CCK! We meet every other Friday night, September through May for social gatherings/outings. This is not a class! You come to the ones that fit with your child's schedule. To get notice of our events or to hear more about our program please call the church office or contact Karyn Malchus.

Summer:
Family Vacation Bible School meets during the evenings for one week during the summer for fellowship with other families, and with each other. Themes are based on Bible-time culture and experiences.

Vacation Bible School meets for one week during the summer for fun, fun, and more fun! Each year providesways for kids to connect with God and with other kids through Bible stories, music, snacks, crafts, and more! VBS is open to kids between the ages of 3 years (must be fully potty-trained) and 6th grade.

MOM2MOM (formerly MOPS)
Mom2Mom is a ministry of VUMC providing Christian-based support and encouragement to women in the challenging season of life called motherhood. Whether you feel the need for direction, refueling, or some friends to join you on the ride, we invite you to navigate this journey with us.

The program has expanded to mothers of newborns through sixth grade. 

We meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month starting September 13 through May, 9-11:15 a.m. In addition to a hot breakfast, our morning includes encouraging speakers, a strong mentor mom program, small group discussion and time to connect with other mothers. Our kids' program for newborns through kindergarten meets simultaneously to provide a nurturing and fun place for your child to grow.
